According to the 2017 Gallup-Palmer College annual report, 78% of Americans were found to already wanting to try alternative methods, such as chiropractic, before using prescription or over the counter medications. In addition, The American College of Physicians recommends chiropractic care as the first line of treatment for back pain.
Research conducted by Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine researchers found that acupuncture was effective for alleviation of knee osteoarthritis. Patients were seen to have reductions in pain, stiffness, and joint immobility utilizing two different styles of acupuncture.
