    • How long have you been a member at WHF? I have been a member of WHF since December 2016
    • How has WHF impacted your life since being here?  WHF has impacted my life in many ways. Such as being more dedicated to getting to the gym five days a week, I feel stronger and healthier than I have ever before. It has also impacted my life through aiding in the healing process after hip and knee replacements.
    • What achievement are you most proud of since being here? The achievements that I have made since working out at WHF is that I have gotten physically stronger and more recently my posture has improved, I now keep my hips forward and my shoulder back. I have also learned not to belly breath which in turn has helped increase my lung capacity.
    • Would you recommend personal training at WHF to others & why?  Yes, I would and do recommend WHF to others, because WHF is unlike other gyms. I have gone to a few different gyms in the past and there you are just a number and dollars signs. Here at WHF you are part of a family. You get to know the other members by name and create great gym friendships. My trainer Eric watches me as I walk in and he can tell if something is wrong with me, such as my back or hip are out of place or I have tight muscles, he can also tell when its going to be a good day.  Eric can see where I am at each day and he bases the training session to what I may show him or tell him.  Eric also worked with me before and after my knee replacement, what is also great is it is not just Eric that helps me, all the trainers regardless of who you work with watch out for all the clients.  At WHF they have one stop shopping. Besides getting to workout,  I can see the chiropractor Dr. Pat Donohue and I can get a great massage by Meredith. I have also used the Nutrition services, RPL and Acupuncture.  This is a fantastic option that allows me to accomplish several tasks and goals all at one location.

    • How long have you been a member at WHF? I’ve been a member since October of 2018. 
    • How has WHF impacted your life since you first started coming? I started working with WHF in conjunction with the Blitz program and the combination has been life changing for me. Everything about my health has improved – I lost 70 pounds, gained strength and flexibility and feel great! 
    • What achievement are you most proud of since being here? I love challenges and the trainers consistently push you to improve and reach for new goals. It feels great when you hit those goals. 
    • Would you recommend Personal Training at WHF to others & why?  I would definitely recommend WHF to others. The trainers are invested in your personal wellness journey and the entire WHF community is encouraging and welcoming.  I feel a true sense of belonging at WHF.

    How long have you been a member at WHF?
    3 ½ years
    How has WHF impacted your life since being here?
    I’ve worked out in many gyms previous to coming to WHF.  Being a client here has opened up an entirely different experience. I love having excellent personal training at every visit. Knowing that every session will be different motivates me, encourages me to keep on schedule, and makes me eager to go. If I have the slightest ache or pain, I know that the trainers will show me how to alleviate it.  That and regular massages have made a huge difference in my everyday life.
    What achievement are you most proud of since being here?
    I have learned so much about proper posture and form when exercising.  I do a lot of exercises that I had not done before (and would have not be able to do), and I am amazed at the higher weights that I can now lift and pull.
    Would you recommend personal training and massage at WHF to others & why?
    I originally came to WHF for a massage.  Then I saw the gym.  That has led to countless more massage and gym visits!  WHF is such a welcoming place, with friendly clients who encourage and cheer each other on. No matter how you feel when you walk in, you will definitely feel happier when you leave and be proud of your accomplishments.

    How long have you been coming to WHF?
     1.5 years
    How has WHF impacted your life since being here?
    WHF has allowed me to restart and renew my fitness journey and make friends along the way! Prior to coming to WHF my biggest hurdle was having the motivation to get to the gym, but now I’m actually excited to kick start my mornings with a good workout.
    What achievement are you most proud of since being here? 
    I’ve become stronger, reshaped my body, built endurance, and have become more invested in my health in general.
    Would you recommend WHF to others & why?
    Absolutely! The staff and clients are amazing. I felt welcomed and comfortable at WHF from Day 1.

    How long have you been coming to WHF?
    I have been with the guys off and on since 2007.  I believe I have been at this place since 2012. 
    How has WHF impacted your life since being here?
    WHF has been truly amazing for me.  I am a special case being an amputee.  I need to keep in shape or quite literally I can get to where I can’t walk.  WHF has never once questioned having to take extra time, make adaptations, or even learn new ways to help someone like me achieve my goals.  I have been in on crutches, and even on a knee scooter and WHF has taken care of me.  I am by far in the best shape of my life right now, even being 45, and amputee, it has never been better. 
    What achievement are you most proud of since being here?
    I think my greatest achievement at WHF has been my weight loss.  At one point in my life I was pushing 300 lbs.  I was miserable and unhealthy.  I was able to make it down as low as 205 and started building it back up with healthy muscle!
    Would you recommend WHF to others & why?
    I would 100% recommend personal training and massage at WHF.  I have been working out for over 30 years, I have been at numerous gyms.  What you get at WHF  far surpasses any of the trainers I have used before. It is truly a family atmosphere, the trainers truly care about you and you build a rapport with them and the other clients.  It is just like a second home.  At other places you pay for a 30 minute session and at minute 29 they are heading to their next client.  At WHF you could literally come 6 days a week and workout with trainers for hours.  You are not on a clock , their concern is getting you to your goals. 
    Massage at WHF is amazing.  You can go for comfort and relaxation, or you can go for hardcore deep tissue therapy.  You literally walk out of your session with your head in the clouds and a giant smile on your face.  I have had massages at different resorts and other places all over, nothing compares to the therapists at WHF.  Words will never be able to do their massages justice; you have to try them for yourself.

    I’ve been a member at WHF for 9 months
    How has WHF impacted your life since being here?
    WHF offers a personalized experience to each person who walks through their door. I felt comfortable since day one.  Everyone here is wonderful to work with. They have a holistic approach to fitness and overall well-being and it was exactly what I needed. I came in with a goal to lose 100lbs and I’m almost there, WHF has helped me to connect the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of weight loss and it’s made such a difference. Not only have I lost weight but I am so much stronger. I am now able to do things I never thought possible when I first walked in the door. Everyone is so supportive!
    What achievement are you most proud of since being here?
    Losing 70lbs!
    Would you recommend personal training and massage at WHF to others & why?
    WHF has it all. I see a nutritionist as well as a personal trainer. If I want a chiropractor appointment, massage, or facial, it’s all in the same building! I’ve been to them all and have am recommended it to friends. It really is the perfect set up.

    How long have you been a member at WHF?
    I have been a member of WHF since the day they opened the doors.  I was a carry-over from their previous gym.
    How has WHF impacted your life since being here?
    WHF has had a big impact on my life as they keep me accountable for my fitness goals and inspire me to keep moving.  More recently, I have acknowledged how diet is as important as exercise, and with help of the nutrition counseling, have lost nearly 35 pounds this year.
    What achievement are you most proud of since being here?
    Since the re-opening last summer, I have set more specific fitness goals and am proud of reaching certain lifting goals and recently was able to do ten pull-ups at a time.  A year ago,  I could not do any without a heavy band to assist.  I am grateful to Christian and Matt who helped me achieve that specific goal.
    Would you recommend personal training and massage at WHF to others & why?
    I would recommend all of the services provided at WHF for sure.  The trainers understand your specific issues and push you where you need to be pushed.  The massage therapists are all fantastic.

    How has WHF impacted your life since being here?
    It has become a place that I love to come to from the moment I walk in the door. A friendly greeting meets me, from multiple people, the front desk, the trainers and my gym family.
    What achievement are you most proud of since being here?
    A sled drag with 6 plates!
    Would you recommend personal training and massage at WHF to others & why?
    There’s just no place like WHF. I’ve tried other gyms and WHF fits me best with workouts geared for me and my needs. WHF keeps me strong, in shape and able to compete on a National level with my Dragonboat team.
    The massage therapists are great. Inspire Nutrition Blitz program was awesome and taught me show much. 
    WHF is hands down the best gym around!

    Ever wonder what’s considered normal aging. Do you know what to expect as you get older and what you can do about it?

    As I have said to my children, in your twenties and thirties you generally feel terrific. In your forties you realize that you can’t do what you did in your twenties and thirties. When in your fifties, things start to deteriorate. You can’t run as fast, lift as much, and bend like you had in the past. So what happens as you age? Well besides getting wrinkles and grey hair (or losing it), there are changes in your cardiovascular system, your bones, joints and muscles, your digestive system, your bladder and urinary tract, your memory, your eyes, ears and teeth your skin and most certainly, your weight.

    You can’t stop the aging process but you have the ability to make choices that improve your ability to maintain an active lifestyle and continue to do the things that you enjoy. Joining Wrightstown Health and Fitness in 2015 was one of the best lifelong decisions I had ever made. Although a work in progress, I feel healthier and move better. Christian is like no other trainer I have ever worked with. He understands the human body and the ability to improve a client’s wellbeing. He understands you limitations and customizes your workout to address your needs.

    The best way for me to explain what it’s like at WHF is to share some of the lyrics from the TV show Cheers:

    How long have you been a member at WHF?
    I have been a member since November 2020
     
    How has WHF impacted your life since being here?
    I feel like I’m in the best shape of my life and I have confidence that I’m getting the best exercise for my body without risking injury.  I signed up because I strained my knee and wanted help recovering. Now I realize that the injury was due to poor form and is completely avoidable by working with a trainer. 
     
    What achievement are you most proud of since being here? 
    I’m proud of seeing my muscle mass increase and my fat decrease using the InBody machine.  I’m tremendously pleased with the improvement in my posture which I did not even consider when I signed up.  
     
    Would you recommend personal training and massage at WHF to others & why?
    I recommend personal training for the peace of mind that I’m doing the right things to stay in shape.  I love getting training at WHF because I feel completely comfortable there.  I am impressed with training approach where several people are receiving individualized instructions and feedback at the same time.  I have the right level of attention and support to continue to improve without the high price tag of a 100% dedicated 1:1 trainer.  The people and staff are friendly and every workout is different so I’m never bored.  I like the variety like sled pulls, sledge hammers, and javelin throwing.  Running the trails in nice weather is very refreshing.
    I consider the massages at WHF to be the best in the area and an integral part of my stress management and wellness plan.  The monthly massages I get keep the tension out of my back.  They feel like a luxurious treat and taking great care of my body at the same time.

    How long have you been a member at WHF?

    How has WHF impacted your life since being here?
    Before coming to WHF I had a persistent case of tennis elbow and problems with my knees. For my elbow, I received 4 cortisone shots with the last one hurting me more than helping me. Within the 1st few months of starting at WHF and completing multiple stretches and other exercises, my elbow no longer bothers me. When it comes to my knees, they have both been operated on. Again with the help of Christian every time I am in there I stretch or roll the muscles around my knees. Now, I squat, do box jumps and all kinds of other exercises I never thought I would be doing. I also started seeing a Nutritionist with Inspire Nutrition. They have helped me with my all or nothing attitude when it comes to dieting and teaching me that it’s a lifestyle. Because of the training and nutrition counseling, I have lost 40lbs.
     
    What achievement are you most proud of since being here? 
    Losing 40lbs!!
     
    Would you recommend services at WHF to others & why? 
    Yes! Everything is right there training, Nutrition, chiropractor, you can even get a massage if you want. Most of all they listen and tailor everything to the individual!

    How long have you been members at WHF?
     We’ve been working out with Christian since 2004 and our entire family has been WHF members since the beginning.  
     
    How has WHF impacted your life since being here?
     WHF has enabled an overall wellness plan in our lives.  Prior to 2004, we halfheartedly exercised, maybe once or twice a week, with no results.  Since joining WHF every metric – weight, BMI, body fat%, VO2, strength, endurance, speed, etc. are all trending in the right directions.  With those results, how could we stop?
     
    What achievement are you most proud of since being here?
     Our achievements – multiple Spartan Races, Color Runs, 5Ks, – and of course, the overall stamina, but the most significant is when we go for our annual physicals, and we get very positive feedback.
    Would you recommend personal training at WHF to others & why?
     Personal training is really an individual choice to get healthy and WHF provides a friendly, flexible training environment that keeps you coming back for more. The entire staff at WHF gives us a unique member experience, a strong sense of community and a highly focused client engagement.
