Marissa Borger, LMT (Licensed Massage Therapist)
Licensed Massage Therapist
Marissa first got interested in health and wellness when she first started working at a newly opened gym and wellness center. During her time there she was intrigued by the chiropractor on staff providing hands on care for patients. After discussions with the chiropractor she discovered that she too could provide hands on care through massage therapy. This led her to attend the Pennsylvania School of Muscle Therapy in Oaks, Pa (now known as “Cortiva” in King of Prussia), earning a certificate in Massage Therapy in 2003. She has been practicing massage therapy ever since.
Marissa generally uses medium to deep pressure and employs trigger-point therapy and stretches when suitable. She is familiar with Swedish massage, Lymphatic Drainage, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Thai Technique, Prenatal massage, Sports massage, and Hot Stone massage. She listens to her clients’ needs that allows her to ensure she tailors the massage into an efficient and effective massage session. This allows her to provide better success for healing and recovery. Over the course of her massage career, she had worked with a wide array of clients from young to old and athletic/active to non-mobile/non-active clients.
